Stats Tried to crunch some numbers about Men VS Women users, on the net these days. Lots of stats out there but nothing I could use. Bottom line it’s about 50% 50% now, with Ladies probably edging over the top. Unlike 5 or even 10 years ago where men had about a 20% to 30% lead and computers were a threat to marriage. Men were just spending way too much time on their computers. Then, men thought they got smart. Set up the Ladies with chat boards, blogs and what not. At least that’s part what my real life experience has been like and as I look around and read some of these bizzare boards, that;s what I’m finding. Linux gurus or programmers that are involved either has a hobby, or for work purposes, end up providing a lot of assistance to the Ladies setting up their own little server side apps. Guys set them up for kicks, it’s the old take the clock or motor car apart syndrome where boys like to figure out what makes it tick. Eventually their taken down and a new one is set up… The Ladies however, gather around and use the ones the DH’s set up for them. customized and everything! Good stuff! Not that the Ladies can’t set up their own, that’s not where I’m going with this at all, there are plenty of Ladies out there now that are very qualified at this stuff (Ouufff, nice recovery there! ) So in conclusion, if you do a search for DH, not only do you find sappy stuff, but you do find some thank yous to DH’s. Just in case you didn’t know.
