Husband Reports on Spicy Blogs

Cease and decease

I roam around, as a hobby now, to established adult blogs, yes it gets me my kicks!  Well at least someemoticon.  The adult blog entity, is one that is growing.  Many followers or participants are just peeping Tom’s, most from what I’ve observed also have their own.

For some publishers, it’s a passing moment, for others it’s an exciting joint venture.  Some try to make a dime off of it.  If you can at least pay for your server, you’re batting 1000 as far as I’m concerned.  For most, it’s an outlet.  I consider it a creative, talented outlet.

I was reviewing my sidebar links this morning, DW snoozing away, I noticed some of my links are now inactive or gone.  Some, leaving a thank you note.  Some with an explanation others just vanished.  All good things must pass.  For those giving some sort of explanation, there’s often a feeling of sadness associated with the departure.  Usually about the interaction with the  readers.

The following have been removed from my sidebar either because they have been inactive for 2 months or have left a closing statement or have just vanished:

I am sure there are many more, but the above, I had reviewed at one time or another and had noted them on my sidebar.

We all do things for a reason.  Sometimes it’s as simple as self satisfaction.  Welcome to the new Millennium, Sex is part of our daily lives.  It spices things up, its one of the elements that keeps the earth going around.  No, you don’t have to go around with splashing headlines about it.  That is your choice.  For the ones that either like to talk about it, feel the need to talk about it, have a creative edge to release, the closet days are over.  Blogging is a great media to do so.

I didn’t say porn.  It’s not about splashing repetitive pictures of people engaging in hardcore, staged professional shots.  Wrong idea.  It is about writing, entertaining, mingling, interaction, creativity, yes erotica.  It requires a commitment.  Probably a minimum of 10 to 15 hours a week of devoted time on writing for some.  It’s a lifestyle…If you  fit the description, how many hours a week do you put in to your blog?

Would you or could you tell a sex story in a tasty way?  Could you or would you open your bedroom door to 5 million readers and keep them coming back, tweak what keeps them interested through your entries?   Would you expose nude pictures of yourself or your partner?  (HNT, Cock Blogging Wednesday) It takes guts, it takes talents, creativity.  For those of you out there that continue doing so, I congratulate you.  For those of you who have decided to stop, thank you for the entertainment and stimulation.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts or your lives.

Hummm, it’s amazing what a day off work will do

Pinups

The new banners haven’t drawn that much attention, however I’ve found some satisfaction in tweaking WordPress’ skin to make it happen.  My ultimate objective is to rotate or load a new one every time the user refresheses the page.  I’ve found the add on to achieve it, but that add on, is not so easily adapted to the skin I’m using.  I sought help on the WordPress.org help forum, but without a reply thus far.Mobius-Devin_in_Fur.jpg

Enough of that, the other fun side of it has been making the banners and choosing the art work for it.  As I am going into a new run, I thought I’d add a review to the artists I’ll be featuring.

Michael Mobius – Pinup artist.  You can get many profiles on him at different websites authorized to resell his artwork.  Most of these, also profile the artists.  As for Michael Mobius, born in 1968 in East Germany was influenced in earlier work by Sorayama.  As you go through the above link, you’ll find more recent projects, for example, one with Elvgren_Gil-Tail_Wind.jpgPlayboy.  Please visit the website for more information.

Gil Elvgren – Also Pinup artist.  American, 1914 to 1980.  As you look at his work, you may just find it all too familiar as he was one of the artist for Coca-Cola for over 25 years.  A large biography can be found here.  His work not as risqué as other pinup artists, you can’t help but thinking "classic" as you view his work.  Some of coppertonegirl.jpgyou may also remember a small dog pulling down a little girl’s bathing suit, the painting helped to establish Joyce Ballantyne’s reputation while making Coppertone one of the best-known products in the world.  She was one of Gil Elvgren’s students.  You can feel his touch as you look at the style.

Reviewing the reviews

Fleshbot reviews blogs on a regular basis by putting some content and a link to the author’s blog.  It’s a great way to give some exposures to bloggers.   As I would Boing Boing, I find myself going throughfleshbot-r.jpg Fleshbot a couple times a month.  It is full of other goodies.

This week I read in someone else’s blog that they had been reviewed by Fleshbot.  Proud of my cyberfriends AlexSuze, I share in their excitement.  You can find this Fleshbot review here

As a follow up to the article in the article in the Sidney Morning Herald, I wonder how many of you read it.  Sure it was great to have some of our blogging friends in the newspaper, but the article itself did little for this sport.   The fact that there are as many parallels to the porn industry as there are to this phenomenon we call Sex blogs is obviously unfair to Sex Bloggers.  That is of course my opinion, but I feel it is shared by others.  I felt  they obviously had a mandate to cover such stuff as local politics.

I conclude, after reading it carefully, that Sex blogging had very little to do with the article apart from name dropping. It felt as though the author’s objectives were to meet or stir other local issues, and using Sex bloggers was an easy target for him to get the article going.

So perhaps now, I would like to hear your comments on it.

Dirty Filthy Princess

Very harsh for a friday night!  Dirty Filthy Princess.  Blogger type, with super content.  As I read through the entries, one of the recent ones referred to an article in The Sidney Morning Herald from November 12th, about Sex Blogging.  There’s a fair amount of name dropping there.  Maybe your blog is listed?  As far as Bedroomdancer is concerned, she’s looking for feedback on this article.  And her blog is fun with good reads.  Good Honest stuff here.hootlogonew-s.jpg

I also came across a cafe blog type this week, which I enjoyed entitled Hoot Island.  Perhaps some of you have been there, but if you haven’t, I found it very entertaining.  It is blog style, but with so much more attached to it.  I tried to figure out who administers it but I guess I wasn’t looking in the right places.  I came up empty handed on that one.

The articles are staged in a similar fashion as Boing Boing, but obviously aimed at an Adult content audience.  As well as links and stories…The whole package!

As I made my way through Sensual Arousal Blog, I had a tough time to make it to the bottom of the page without shifting around on my chair a little bit.  The claim here is from a bi-curious girl, as it states but as I browsed at many girl on girl tasty action shots, I felt more that I was visiting perhaps a lady’s dreams…  You’ll find reviews on toys amongst other reviews.  Eye catching blog!

Web Design

c2a-s.jpgRunning through some links that are finally accumulating (since I block posted a few weeks ago!) I came across Bitchalicious‘ site.  Ok, it’s a fun blog…But what lies behind it, Web-Divas, was probably more interesting to me for the time being.  This is a group of 4 ladies designing great templates for all kinds of blog platforms as well as other PHP ventures.

The templates are offered to view as thumb nails, sorted by designer and sorted by platforms.  Mostly for blogs but a few for message boards and a couple for php-html.

So if you’re looking for something new-wavish in the blog design area, give these guys (gals) a go.  You can link to their individual blogs and find out a little more about them.

There are other services offered too, check it out.

Just a quickie Get Girls

Came across some extremely well done exaggerated toons, this week.  I’m trying to get a hold of theHollyConG3-r.jpg website, but it says it’s been revoked.  I found another web site, which was suppose to open 05.05.05, but that’s after the fact now.  I’ll display the most tasty ones as some of it is highly raunchy.  so for those of you interested in acquiring more Mermaid_LoRes-r.jpginformation on this artist, there are co-ordinates on how to reach him at

http://www.girl-e-toons.com/

For the time being I’ll display 3 thumbs of his work you can look forward to in the near future.

As I said, exaggerated is the key word here, but I felt the artist, Jean Paul, deserved some recognition.  I couldn’t find any background on him, but I’ll be sure to post it if I do.JustRelax-WP-r.jpg

I see him as a girly mag, cartoonist in a jiffy.  Perhaps, he’s been there or has other plans.  If you have any info on this guy, please comment.
