I’m just going through a 24 hour statistic report.  Something I used to do once a month.  I just installed Shortstat, which reports specifically WordPress access… Since looking at the entire domain report was rather vague, I hunted down some new tools…  So who visits me or where do they come from is all news to me.  Interesting!

So, I visited fellow bloggers that I’ve never reported on to have a look see, and revisited some that are in my links on the sidebar.

Let’s take a look at the newbies that I found …

I started monitoring last night, and picked up on the Artfuldodger’s The Secret Brain on Blogger.  A real blog, filled with lifestyle and an outlet for erotica.  I went through some of the stories, well done.  Enough of them to spin off a second blog dedicated to writing.  A trend I’m noticing more and more.  The spin off blog is entitled Secret Reads and appears to have just sprung up yesterday.  Plenty there to read already!

One of the things that caught my attention on The Secret Brain, was the photography.  Not heaps of it but very tasty indeed.  There’s a little something for everyone there.  The Artfuldodger has an extensive list of links, enough even for me to find some new tricks to exploit.  So traffic has been filtering down to me from this gentleman, as he has me linked in his sidebar and I have reciprocated.

As I browsed through the archives there, I also found BoB, no not the person…Best of Blog Awards.  Where it seems The Secret Brain had a mention.  A whole bag of goodies there for me to explore!  Am I the only one left out?  I’d never heard of this one.  I did see some familiar names in there, at least a few.  Creative Spanked Wife, which I reviewed in October over here, Check it out, perhaps you’ve been nominated?    If you would like to nominate someone, hurry, I think tomorrow is the last day!  See Rules.

Also back in October I had done a listing out of archived links which I just didn’t have time to review each and every one of them… Another one of my new found sources of traffic appear to be coming from Figleaf’s Real Adult Sex blog done on Movable Type.  Nice simple design, very functional, comes with a complete alpha listing of links and references.  Beyond reading the blog itself, this sidebar is enough to kill a week of evenings!

There’s a full year’s worth of archives there so plenty of reading.  With a heading that reads…

" Confessions of a libertine prude / grumblings of a prudish libertine"

I found, that by going through the actual posts, in the archives, he isn’t so prude!  Look for a Christmas picture!  Now there be more, but you’ll have to open every post in the archives!  As you browse through, you only get a preview. 

There’s chemistry between Always Aroused Girl and Figleaf which is fun.  AAG‘s name comes across a few posts that I went through.  Speaking of, I had a few referrals from AAG too, and now you’ll find Figleaf  in my sidebar too.

Perhaps I’ve been putting it off for too long, but I promised myself, that once I had covered 300 reviews or references, I would post them all in one big page.  I feel that day coming soon!  There’s more…but as we say, I got a get a life too…
