Big trend on blogs these days is to post video and music feeds.   Not that I try to follow every trend, far from it.  Still it’s a tool that I would like to implement.  There are sure ways to work around my problems, but it would involve changing theme, perhaps upgrading…blah…blah.  Some of you may have dropped in this morning while I attempted to post that entry.  It was the closest I had been, to successfully achieve a YouTube or Ifilm link.  However, it made the rest of the page look crooked and place my sidebar at the bottom.

In the past when I’ve done this, I did it through a link, where people downloaded directly from my server. Today I tested code, and worked around ways to do this with Wordpress.   Since I failed, I am re-doing the post with conventional links that you can follow.

BodyRockers.jpgYes, I have favourite things too, outside of bedside toys!  Presently, my newest find in music is the BodyRockers… Hope you enjoy it. You can view a full version at thatvideosite . That was actually the best version that I found. YouTube has something, but nowhere near the quality.

I follow the UK charts when it comes to music, but last year I missed this one.(British/Australian duo Bodyrockers.)  This week driving home from the office I heard the song and was immediately hooked.  The radio announcer also made reference to the song being used on a Diet Coke commercial.  Not a bad little clip.   While there I also picked up another that I liked for Motorola.

9_weeks.jpgA movie that touched me, in one way or another, is 9 1/2 Weeks.  A certain chemistry perhaps with then, Mickey Rourke, Kim Basinger and Joe Cocker Music.
At the time, using some editing tools, I went on to to help a friend make a university project, with 9 1/2 Weeks.  An advertising campaign for Avon. Revamped to attract a younger clientele.  We dubbed the soundtrack with our own, and used some INXS music - Never Tear Us Apart.  Of course, this was nearly 20 years ago.
My most disturbing movie: Fatal Attraction.
With some of the most passionate scenes in it, you manage to walk away scared shitless.  More effective for me than Lorena Bobbit case.
The weather just sucks here today, so it might be a good idea to go out and rent some DVD’s … Here’s one of my favourite places to choose from IMBD.  Hope you can enjoy the outdoors where you are.

Funny that, we watched 9 1/2 weeks to celebrate the first post on our blog in April last year. I wholeheartedly concur, chemistry, by the bucketload. And sexy as hell without being explicit.

Bet that campaign would have sold a lot of makeup for AVon

Suze asks, “While you were working on it, did you keep your hat on?”

For me the embedding of video and audio in our blogs has been a two-edged sword, while I enjoy seeing what others have posted (as always) I have also had tremendous problems with some of them. They crash my browser. This may be due to the fact that I am a Mac user and primarily surf using Safari, which I personally prefer, but it also happens on Firefox and some of the other browers I use. Right now there are three blogs that I visit daily that I cannot visit because each time my brower crashes. It is annoying. Especailly since there seems to be no reason for it, I have all the latest software patches and upgrades and whatnots, just something about embedding them that causes trouble for me. :(

Sue: Avon calling! Must have worked the campaign ’cause I see 26 year olds at the office flipping through the catalogs. I don’t think they got them from their grannies. 9 1/2 weeks —> Still Yummy. Somewhere Mickey Rourke took a wrong turn in his career. One he chose for boxing. Kim Bassinger —> DW may still be jealous!

Art: On an Xp platform, I installed IE7 Beta2 last week. That was good for about 20 minutes. IE6 re-installed but not quite the same. I sympathize with your browser headaches. Firefox is great, the only thing is my Wordpress looks all cockeyed. I have to re-do the theme .css

Funny how one browser reacts differently from the other. Anyway from my 20 minutes of IE7, it was enough to show me once again that Microsoft is behind in the browser stuff. This just another attempt at catching up and they still have a lot of work to do.

Still have a bad taste in my mouth from their war with Netscape some 6 or 7 years ago.

dh - yeah, don’t get me started on Microsoft. I find it hard to fathom how they can be sooo big and powerful and still build the worst freakin’ software in the world AND stil be successful. I will never understand it. I actually won a PC laptop a few years back, keep it around for a few things, not a bad machine Pentium 4 and all, but God working on it is such a negative experience. give me my Mac anyday. :)

Media files can be problematic DH. Youtube code works, and yet, it can be impossible to edit a post (to rearrange the text etc), which means reposting the entire thing. I think that’s more a blogger problem, but even so it can be a bugger.

Well, I’m glad to see I’m not alone with Media problems.
