This little walk through has only been from my perspective. What about you? What would you consider some of your better moments, in 2006, vis a vis your time on line, working on your blog or some of your better adult exploitations, discoveries. How will you remember 2006?

Oh wow! Thanks for the mention!
What a loaded question! How will I remember 2006? It was the year I started blogging, it was the year I put my life back together. It was a year of discovery, of making friends, of finding out who my friends really are, and of learning and sharing. I consider myself so fortunate and blessed that so many good things happened to me online, and it has truly left me humbled that I’ve been fortunate enough to encounter so many truly special people and that I had a chance to make a difference. All that said, I’m really looking forward to 2007!
Have a great 2007!

nina
2006 was our first full year of blogging. We’ve done so much in the past 12 months that it beggars belief. But, due to various circumstances there’s so much that didn’t get done. Always the way I suppose, balanceing real life and vitual life.
Nina’s right. It’s the people that make or break blogging, and there’s always someone new joining the throng. Lot’s to look forward to.
Anyway, thanks for the mention and may 2007 bring you success and happiness.
Alex & Suze
Nina, what can I say…You have talent, and I’m sure, in many other areas. You’ve just found a new way to harvest it. There’s also a hidden sense of control that exists beneath all this: The presentation and how you get the people to come back. Obviously you’ve achieved that in a classy way of your own.
Alex & Suze, what can I say that hasn’t been said! You just keep on developing and writing in such a forward way that, we just can’t get enough. 2006 was a decisive year for you. I hope you are able to look back and say “That was the right choice”.
We blog first for ourselves, but it isn’t long until we blog for the people too. Without sounding like a politician, we are the people.
Here’s to 2006 for what it was and here is to 2007 and its surprises!
Happy New Year!
2006 was a challenging year. Although I’d arrived from Livejournal (a mainstream type of blogging existence), and decided to alter the theme in 2005, 2006 proved something else. I learned that the sexual ‘genre’ (in the sense of blogging) could be competitive on many fronts, and there were many moments where I considered pulling the plug; 2006 was an emotional roller coaster ride, to anyone who says that writing is just writing, is wrong because it involves many emotions, and blogging can test a person’s patience most of the time, particularly if one approaches the same theme or genre from a different angle or whatever.
I think I considered terminating the blog three or four times this year, and took a step away to have a brief breather (for me that’s 1 day away from writing at the most).
The most rewarding moment for me, outside of stuff/stories I published outside of my blog, was switching to Typepad from Blogger. I felt a sense of elation, with a dash of liberation.
*this past year…(I’m still in 2006 mode, it’s only 2 Jan)
Ana, you have to take things at heart to be successful in what you do. It’s great that you can walk away from it when necessary. A lot of people can’t and get hurt by their passion.
. I, for one, am certainly glad you didn’t walk away from it.
I think Typepad has given you a new perspective and perhaps more of a feeling of ownership.
I always look forward to enough time to stop by your blog and catch up. With your writing style and abilities I think you could make anything a pleasure to read. In this case, the subject matter is a little more stimulating
tht definitely was a good read !!
u just inspired me to keep on with blogging my secret world !
Thanks for the mentions DH and for noticing my little weekly comic, just trying something different. My first year of blogging is alot like everyone elses that has commented, although many of us have gone in different directions, we all experience many of the same things. I know I entered this “world” naive and inexperienced with on-line journaling, having started a blog shortly after discovering they existed in the first place. My own life this past year has been one of tremendous turmoil, and as Ana said above, that can easily be seen and reflected in your blog writing, and even with how we deal with others. I would hope that I’ve managed to survive the first year and emerge a more mature, experienced, understanding, and committed blogger than when I started.
I’m looking forward to what the new year holds and wish you the very best as well, hang in there!
Well for your first year, Mr. Dodger, I would say you’ve done extremely well! Just dying to see what surprises 2007 has for you in the blogosphere.
All the best for 2007!
