Wordpress 2.2 Upgrade - Careful of King Plugins
Many users have made the move to Wordpress in the last year. I’m no expert, but if you follow some
basic rules, there shouldn’t be anything you cannot overcome.
I haven’t upgraded this blog yet but I did upgrade my DH Original which has let’s say, a little more personal family oriented content!
The blog loaded and navigated successfully, but when I tried to access the Admin Panel/Login - It gave me:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_get_current_user() in /…Domain…Blah .Blah/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 446.
Hope the following tips and findings can save the headaches for some of you.
Lesson #1 Make sure you always make a back up before you upgrade. Full back up includes: Directory structure on the server and database.
Lesson #2 Disable plugins, as instructed by Wordpress before the upgrade.
Luckily, I was able to dig up a solution…
The problem arises, if you are using certain King Plugins. You can get more info on this at Wordpress.org. The new WP 2.2 has built in widgets, which conflicts due to the old directory structure.
Here is the Solution if you are after the fact. You don’t have to re-invent the wheel:
I found the problem.
If you’re using a plugin or widget that must be installed in the folder of the old widget plugin, that plugin will break everything.
Now that WP 2.2 has widgets built-in there’s no need for the old widgets plugin. However, a few plugins/widgets are built to be installed in the same directory as the "widgets.php" file. Now that that file has been moved out of the plugins folder, problems arise.
Your problem plugins may differ, but I broke my blog with the King Text and King Links plugins/widgets. They must reside in the old widgets folder in the plugins folder. Now that widgets are incorporated in WP 2.2 and no longer a plugin, those two break and will take your blog down with them.
Fix: Copy your old widgets folder to your local hard drive as backup. Delete the widgets folder from your blog’s server. (If you haven’y upgraded your database, do so.) Reload your dashboard. Now you should be fine.
Sadly, the King widgets series (which powers my entire sidebar) needs an update to work with 2.2 from what I can see. No updates exist at the time of this writing.
Edelen has other solutions in store if you care to read up on them.
As for my pending upgrade, I guess I’ll have to tweak my other blog until I’m satisfied with the results. Then, I’ll upgrade.
Good luck to you.

Changing the Channel - Cheating or Swinging?
It’s about the thrill, the novelty, it’s about discovering, it’s about not getting caught. It’s about fresh
meat, it’s about the conquest and it’s by no means a new idea. Is swinging the same as cheating, but with a permit?
Monogamy vs Polygamy? sure it’s a cultural thing, but it’s there.
This short clip was produced by C H U M Television in Canada. The clip is on their website. Why am I featuring them? Because I think they’re an eye opener for your own sexual views.
Here’s a clip on the subject of infedlity from S E X T V.
Related articles are numerous. Here’s one. This discussion can go in so many directions, I think I’ll stop here.
Tough statistics, but 50 to 60% of men and woman will end up cheating. So where do you stand? (as far as you know).

Jon Hul
Just freshened up the gallery with a few pin ups from Jon Hul. The one below is my favourite. I first caught a glimpse of it last year on Sexualité. I feel some new banners coming on!
He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and later grew up in California and Nevada. He attended Orr Junior High School in Las Vegas, NV in 1971. In 1974, he attended Valley High School where he studied ceramics, oil painting, watercolors, and commercial design.
After graduating from Valley High School in 1976, he taught himself how to play drums and played gigs off and on for a few years in a funk band called Soul Connection.
He decided to become a full-time artist in 1987 and to focus on fatherhood.
He is not a college graduate, and is mainly self-taught. He has noted as early influences the artists Salvador Dalí, Frank Frazetta, Alberto Vargas, M. C. Escher, Pablo Picasso, and later Patrick Nagel, Olivia De Berardinis and Hajime Sorayama.
Frequent subjects for his erotic art include Shae Marks, Suzi Simpson, Victoria Zdrok, Julie Strain, Anna Nicole Smith, and Pamela Anderson. He uses the media of watercolor, acrylic paint, oils, and pencil.
[edit] Books
* The Art of Jon Hul (2003) (ISBN 0-86562-082-2)
* The Jon Hul Sketchbook Volume One (2006) (ISBN 0-86562-136-5)
His books are available through Amazon.com . Some of his artwork at the Erotic Art Network.

Changing the Channel - Alternate Sexual Lifestyles
The last two to three years have been an eye opener for me. Starting with an innocent search on the topic of DH - which can range from Dear Husband to Dumb Husband and I’m sure many in between. Most searches ended up with message board gossips, but some pinged back on blogs.
As far as medias go, I hadn’t really gone in to the blog thing. Mind you I may have been, amongst one of the first 1,000,000 registerd users on blogspot in 2003. It wasn’t long before the intellectual side of my sexual appetite was stirred up as the DH factor + a key word brought back unexpected results.
Results, I was pleased to entertain or let myself be entertained by! The concept wasn’t graphic. The concept was: many men and women and couples writing about their sexual experiences and preferences. A lot more pleasurable to me than a gazillion porn pictures.
I started reporting back my findings and crediting the authors through this blog. I took immense pleasure in feedback. Feedback about being noticed. Cool, I thought and I just kept at it. The rest is history!
Lately, I have found stimulating resources on television. No, not during prime time of course, but there are some good shows out there. Yes, there’s also a lot of trash out there.
It is Dr. Ruth to your left. WTF you’re probably saying. Not that I ever cared for her show, still she would be the pioneer of bringing sex to television in open discussion type. It deserves some credit. Where as Dr.Ruth appeared on NBC, more recent shows are presented on "cable" channels.
Of course, this is a totally non interactive excersise from the viewer’s point. Blogging gets you right in there, participating commenting writing your own…
Starting today, I’ll be featuring excerpt feeds from shows I’ve come across. These expose stimulating topics worth covering.
The series of short clips I’ll be featuring was produced by C H U M Television in Canada. The clips have been posted on their website. Why am I featuring them? Because I think they’re an eye opener for your own sexual views.
Alternate Sexual Lifestyles
Here’s a clip giving views about bringing in other participants into your sex life. You’ll hear different sides.
So, would you? Have you?
We haven’t and that’s fine for both of us. It’s been discussed.
Of course I like to learn and discover new sides of sexuality. I had never heard of the term SoftSwapper. Now I guess I’ll have to do a little more research on this! Here’s my first result worth posting on SoftSwapper from Wife Swap.co.uk
Since I’m taking a couple of extra long week end, perhaps you’ll get to see a little more of me over the next few weeks!

The Scene
By the way, Blogstormz appears to be pretty inactive since March. What’s up with that. Please fill me in. ABH appears to be the place to be right about now. With a great overhaul, it’s come a long way and a pleasant surf, if you’d like to participate or just looking for some resources.
Over time movies, music, literature and the arts in general take a turn and change on us. It doesn’t matter how much we try to keep up, one day we turn around and say - What happened there? Some 30 years ago, medias such as television, radio newspapers and magazines could help us keep up.
But did it really? We were were victims of successfull reporters who did their jobs passionetly and we were satisfied with their work. That’s all we knew.
Today’s media including the Internet, offers a vaster array of information. There is so much available out there, we can’t take it all in. We can be aware, but can’t soak it all in. Unless we make it a full time job. So we have to choose. Our choice, not necessarily the choice of a few talented reporters.
I recently picked up a local free press newspaper. I would estimate more than 80% of it was devoted to local talent. In some form or another such as articles/reviews, advertising from ticket sales to show schedule. The internet version come across more as a city rag, mostly because the advertising is not there.
When I use to ride the transit regularly, I use to read free press rags, stopped because of the direction of the advertising. Too many escort services listed on pages where they shouldn’t be. Save it for the last 3 pages. Still the balance of the content is key if you’re looking for something to do.
So why did I pick it up this week? Well the front page was splattered with the expression Hardcore Pussy. With the accompanying photo to your right. Not really what you think! It’s a play, and I wish the group plenty of success with it.
You have to scroll down, to get to the article. Very Avant-Garde I would say.
The buzz around town this weekend overshadows most of the avove. Bringing in thousands of people into town from allover. The
Formula 1 Grand Prix, turns downtown into a 3 day party. Including a live band on Saturday night.
Today with windows open, I can actually hear the engines buzzing arounf the track. If you’ve ever been close to a Formula 1 racetrack you know that feeling running through your body. Well half this town is feeling like that today.
I showed up before the tourists woke up this morning. Most of them likely recovering from their arrival party. The boys visiting the pubs and the strip joints, the ladies hanging about the shops and the bars.
The ladies in this town like a little competetion when it comes to dressing up for the cause. Gala, Hockey game, church whatever… So it’s no surprise, that on a late spring morning, I found plenty of moms showing off the exhibited cars to the little ones. The fun part was that moms
could easily compete with the Formula 1 babes.
I put my back out this week doing floor exercises at the gym. So I now benefit from nightly back rubs. No it doesn’t set me off like a race car! It’s too painful. Mind you, I guess I’ll figure it out quickly when I get better.
Summer is great fun around here. You just have to make sure life doesn’t pass you by while it’s happenning. Jazz Festival, bicycle paths, Comedy festival, firework competition, twice a week. The amusement park and on and on.
For those rainy evenings or week ends there are some great movies around to see. Here are some that I’ve been watching. I go on spurts, maybe 6 months without and then bang 4 movies in one week. With a sore back, this was an easy excuse.
PIRATE 3
GHOST RIDER
Premonition
88.Minutes
Ocean’s Twelve
The Contractor
This week that made about one a day. Of course one usually looks up info about the movies and cast. here are som of the resources I’ve been using:
MovieHotties.com (useful for The Contractor’s Lena Headey) and also Joblo’s Movie Emporium for general info about what’s going on.
If it’s summer for you, have a nice summer if it’s not, well check out some of these movies. (Most are action thrillers) Vacancy was a bit much for me…Snuff like movie don’t do much for me, I have an easier time with the SAW series, which I also recently caught up.
If you’re going to be stuck to your computer and you’re looking for alternate resources, I came across (no pun here) JizzMaker.com, which has a directory of blogs that make you Jizz. Expecting some written work here, all I found were graphic blogs. Good if you feel at peeking.
I’m sharing the above presently, ’cause it really doesn’t fit in with my regular program. My next post should have a few more goodies for you to explore.
