By the way, Blogstormz appears to be pretty inactive since March.  What’s up with that.  Please fill me in.  ABH appears to be the place to be right about now.  With a great overhaul, it’s come a long way and a pleasant surf, if you’d like to participate or just looking for some resources.

Over time movies, music, literature and the arts in general take a turn and change on us.  It doesn’t matter how much we try to keep up, one day we turn around and say – What happened there?  Some 30 years ago, medias such as television, radio newspapers and magazines could help us keep up.

But did it really?   We were were victims of successfull reporters who did their jobs passionetly and we were satisfied with their work.  That’s all we knew.

Today’s media including the Internet, offers a vaster array of information.  There is so much available out there, we can’t take it all in.  We can be aware, but can’t soak it all in.  Unless we make it a full time job.  So we have to choose.  Our choice, not necessarily the choice of a few talented reporters. 

I recently picked up a local free press newspaper.  I would estimate more than 80% of it was devoted to local talent.  In some form or another such as articles/reviews, advertising from ticket sales to show schedule.  The internet version come across more as a city rag, mostly because the advertising is not there.

When I use to ride the transit regularly, I use to read free press rags, stopped because of the direction of the advertising.  Too many escort services listed on pages where they shouldn’t be.  Save it for the last 3 pages.  Still the balance of the content is key if you’re looking for something to do.

So why did I pick it up this week?  Well the front page was splattered with the expression Hardcore Pussy.  With the accompanying photo to your right.  Not really what you think!  It’s a play, and I wish the group plenty of success with it.

 The buzz around town this weekend overshadows most of the avove.  Bringing in thousands of people into town from allover.  The Formula 1 Grand Prix, turns downtown into a 3 day party.  Including a live band on Saturday night.

Today with windows  open, I can actually hear the engines buzzing arounf the track.  If you’ve ever been close to a Formula 1 racetrack you know that feeling running through your body.  Well half this town is feeling like that today.

I showed up before the tourists woke up this morning.  Most of them likely recovering from their arrival party.  The boys visiting the pubs and the strip joints, the ladies hanging about the shops and the bars. 

The ladies in this town like a little competetion when it comes to dressing up for the cause.  Gala, Hockey game, church whatever…  So it’s no surprise, that on a late spring morning, I found plenty of moms showing off the exhibited cars to the little ones.  The fun part was that moms could easily compete with the Formula 1 babes.

I put my back out this week doing floor exercises at the gym.  So I now benefit from nightly back rubs.  No it doesn’t set me off like a race car!  It’s too painful.  Mind you, I guess I’ll figure it out quickly when I get better. 

Summer is great fun around here.  You just have to make sure life doesn’t pass you by while it’s happenning.  Jazz Festival, bicycle paths, Comedy festival, firework competition, twice a week.  The amusement park and on and on.

For those rainy evenings or week ends there are some great movies around to see.  Here are some that I’ve been watching.  I go on spurts, maybe 6 months without and then bang 4 movies in one week.  With a sore back, this was an easy excuse.

The Gym Thing continues for me.  That is showing up for an hour Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.  As spring and summer arrives, I thought I might see a difference in attendance but no.  The regulars are the regulars and the newbies keep on registring.

Do I feel better?  You bet!  Have I list that much weight?  No.  Perhaps 5 lbs 2 kilos or so initially but there was at least 2 months of status quo even though I was working hard.  Did I do it for the weight?  No not initially, but while your at it why not. 

Since I’m conscious, I could afford to loose another  20 lbs / 8 to 10 kilos, why not go for it.  It’s not rocketship science.  I just didn’t want to do it.  The word is dieting.  Yes you may have heard of this.  I prefer calling it watch what you eat.  As in, no snacks cut the deset and chips and on regular meals control the volume or intake.

After 1 week of doing this this, the 5 lbs has turned into 7 lbs.  In case you were wondering yes it did cost me another hole in my belt.  Having no ass to speak of, DW just teases me about plumber pants.

As for the gym, there’s 25 minutes each session of level 5-6 peddal my ass off, 5 minutes of abs machine, 20 minutes of treadmill 5 – 10 minutes of muscle toning on the arms 10 minutes of stairmaster, which is another beauty!  If some of the equipment is busy I head over to the rowing equipment. 

The idea for me is cardio, it’s not really about looking like the hulk.  It’s about controlling cholesterol.  Up until today, I just basically did what the good doctor told me.  I’m delighted to report this link on The Impact of Excercise on Cholesterol which corroborates my efforts.

As a smoker who suffers from coming home and sitting at the computer, this is probably the best thing that’s happened to me, so I will continue and encourage you to get out there and find a regular excercise program.  

I come home with my shirt drenched and throw it into the laundry as I get into the shower.  For some of you with a little more time on your hands, the gyms do come with full shower facilities, so you don’t have to travel home like a wet rag.  Moreover, if you really want to treat yourself, most also have a Sauna and some a whirlpool.  The whole thing can be a treat. 

As some of you may know, I was always biking in the summer, and I will continue to do so.  Summertime is not enough; the program must be regular .  So next time you see those info-commercials on equipment or slim down weight programs you can still turn them off because they are annoying.  But please give the whole concept some consideration.  Don’t wait for your doctor to go after you.

 Other benefits undocumented:  Coincidence?  My body has been able to fight off the common cold this year.  Did it raise my immusne system?  On the days that I work out, I have more energy.  I can’t fall asleep with as much ease as I usually do.  Of course, this opens up all kinds of discussions and actions!

Oh yeah, and the little picture above is that of Playboy model Katalina Verdin I hope it will encourage you to shape up!  True, not all of the members look like her, but I can say that it’s easy to appreciate a fit and trim body when you see one.  Let alone the other benefits and discipline that go along with it.

As I walked back to my car last night, I could feel the excitement of Saturday evening in the air.  We live in the downtown area, walled by Universities and colleges, hence student ghetto.  With exams, just about over for most, it’s time to party!  Time to hit the bars, and for many time to say goodbye to friends for the summer.

On a gorgeous spring evening, yes you can feel the hormones as you walk around downtown and the giggles from the outdoor terraces speak for themselves.   As you review the crowd, there’s a little more makeup and fashion on the ladies.   

At this point I could easily turn my above intro into a great romantic entry dripping with sexual adventure.  That’s not what I do here, but if you do, I hope you spin off a few ideas from it.

Instead, I’d like to take a moment to say goodbye to a ifriend that’s just closed up his blog.  ArtfulDodger of the Secret Brain, is one of those multi talented characters one runs into and raises an eyebrow in respect of.

His wit and creativity entertained us for a year.  Introducing us to a little comic strip we looked forward to.  The engine behind BlogStormz.  A blog set up to expose writers of sexual content, to have their entries publicly available without searching all over the net.    How many blogs did he re-design?  Yours maybe?  His comments were always clever, and he often acted as friend who picked up and helped when necessary. 

The rich content of his blog is empty now. If you had the opportunity to follow it, you gained from it.  The page remains with a few curt entries.  As many of us do, we turn to writing as a point of focus in our lives when the going gets tough.  I can just say I’m glad ArtfulDodger has resumed his life and is pointing his energies in new directions.

 I don’t post as much as I used to, still I do enjoy roaming around, to see your tasty posts.  I’ve been watching Bubblegum Meltdown for the past year, interested in its format and observing the development.  Presently it’s just blooming.   

Many new sections have been added, some still under construction, and others have been re-done.  Nice work guys!

I see Alex & Suze are had an anniversary,  Big 2 and going strong! 

Artful Dodger, from the Secret Brain, is turning out some great banners.  (Which reminds me, I still have to put a few  up from Giovanna Casotto. )  According to one of his  posts, my style of writing is KissAsspost.  You can lookup a few other great terms in the Dodger Blogtionary!  Always great concepts.

Still, that’s what I do, but it was never to kiss ass.  At the beginning, it was to give proper exposure to Sexually creative writers.  There’s now plenty out there to achieve that and certainly no need to compete.  So I still do my thing, just not as often as I use to. 

 
Oh yes and I also like to bring up certain subjects of discussion once in a while.

The subject on my mind these days is pre-cum.  That fine liquid that comes out of a man’s penis at the moment of arousal.   The Cowper’s gland would appear to behave differently from one individual to the other.  Some guys can produce minimal amounts, others copious quantities.

Oh so you may want to know how I’ve been filling up my time while I’m not posting… Well there’s always DS (Dear Son).  Going to movies together, like Spiderman 3.  DW and I jumped to a new internet service, that’s been fun.  Super High Speed .  Enjoying spring set up and planning the summer months.  The gym thing has become a religion for me.  Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

16 Mbps means a lot of downloading too.  So DS and I have been enhancing our music library.  It’s nice to have the opportunity to sample before you buy.    One of the controversial artist I’ve been following is Akon.  I hope his behaviour doesn’t take him from Hero to Zero.  One of the patterns I’ve been fascinated by artists, is the clean radio edit versions of songs to the versions found on the albums.  As for DS, he’ll be at the Fall Out Boy concert here May 25th.  I don’t think he’ll be taking me this time!  This is a big step from Avril Lavigne.

Speaking of Music, MySpace and You Tube have been my favourite places to sample music.  With a little time on your hands, you can really devellop a MySpace spot.  Ana of Sexualité has made a great gig of it.  Check it out Ana’s profile on MySpace.  Ana had a music blog last year, I just can’t seem to find it.

What’s ahead for DH Spicy, More Pinups for now.  My new downloading power has given me the opportunity to get plenty of searching done.  You can expect the gallery to fill up.  I’ll also be doing some renovations outside, the type of work I only get to do during these short summer months. 

Summer time, also means vacations for me.  So I’ll be tagging on extra long weekends and of course  making a two weeks get away sometimes in July or August.

Some news….

High speed rocks!   As in very High speed.   I’ll be spending my early mornings this weekend trying to do a little network configuring.  For anyone that has a house full of users on wireless, if you have Ultra High Speed available, make the move.  It’s certainly worth it.  We have on the average 4 to 6 users, and when they’re all boys/males, that bandwidth gets a little too thin for comfort.   The ladies’ habits are a little easier to deal with.

Guys tend  to  d/l a lot more, stream movies, I even had a couple of guys hooking in with their voip.  That’s when you call in the bigger guns!  16 megabits per second ought to do it!

Unless your Italian is very good, it’s rather difficult to get info about Giovanna Casotto.  I surfed many websites and found information I didn’t expect.  For example, most of the illustrations drawn, are self portraits.  Explicit too!  I found a few nude photos of Giovanna Casotto, right next to the illustrations.  I was impressed!

A pretty woman to begin, it’s not surprising the illustrations are beautiful.  She started drawing erotic comics in 1994, after meeting up and working with Franco Saudelli.  He would take the photos and she would re-do them her way, in a realistic style.

It was fun observing the details wherever feet and footwear were part of the illustration, the attention brought to is remarkable.

As some of you may have noticed, less posting these days, as I’m busy with a few side projects.  Let alone WORK!

As a result, I will probably enhance this section  a little more.  I find it easier to pick up at any time as opposed to blog surfing and reporting.   I still visit many blogs, as well as my favourites on a regular basis, I just don’t presently have the resources to write them up. 

Speaking of resources, has anyone tripped on this little gem?  Graffitigen.com.  It allows you to type your text and select a Graffiti typefont and generate it.  Kind of cool.

The best Julius Zimmerman biography is found at Davesart, but it’s difficult to pinpoint an age. Judging from the dates, I would say Julius Zimmerman is a child of the 60’s or perhaps late 50’s, putting him in his mid to late 40’s.

I have come across some of his images, many times and I’m sure you have too. The sexy images of Lara Croft, of recent, for example(Tomb Raider). There was also a generation of Who Framed Roger Rabbit’s Jessica. I have seen CatWoman, Superman, Snow White, Tinkerbell. On another site, I found some animated movies too.

His work can get very explicit. Many websites post a warning or an age check because of the nature of the pinups: Extremely explicit.   Julius Zimmerman published one book entitled Blind Squirrel, which appears to be currently out of print. Another was scheduled to be released, but it never happened.

Most of his revenue appears to come from auctions or Naughtybids . He doesn’t do commissioned work anymore, and from what I can see, he never did much. I usually like to list where some of the featured artist’s work has appeared, but I couldn’t very well do that as I found no references.
