Progress Report - House Warming Party Feb. 8-9th

Nobody likes moving, packing, sorting…All that stuff. Much is the same moving Domain.  Read up on the rules of databse, Phpmyadmin conventions, backup methods from server to server, edit databases due to domain name change, drop stats tables, tweak plugins.. I won’t go on.

After the third approach it all fell into place. A little tricky, but basically if you read the support groups, you can get through it. I must say playing with this stuff is a passion, so it’s not so bad. I know people who just dread it.

I still have make decisions on plug ins and stuff. For the time being the only one that’s hick upped is the Comvatar. I think I live without it. Perhaps at a later time re-examine that whole concept. The Short Stat was great. It also took up 30 megs of my database. or about 90%. Dropped those tables

Over the next week or so, I would say doors will be open. Perhaps we’ll have a house warming party next week end..Feb 8th or 9th. Just in time for Valentine’s Day.  

Future Home of DHSpicy Blog

My blog has pretty well been static for the past year. I recently had to make a decision on the Future of the old Domain and decided to keep this blog alive by giving it it’s own identity. It’s own Domain.

DHSpicy Blog was rich in resources and I felt the project deserved some continuity. My problem is giving it the commitment it deserves. As I like to tinker with Web stuff, I will be moving it over the next while.  I hope the conversion goes well.

If you have links pointing towards the old blog, please change the URL to point http://dhspicy.com/dh  . This will be the new permanent home for DHSpicy.  

New Home For DHSpicy Blog

Following a mishap, working on the old host I decided to splurge and get DHSpicy it’s own domain. It’ll take me some time to point what ever references out there to this new site. But it will be done,

I’ll be asking my peers to taked down their links to my old Blog and go on stand by until this one is set up. For the time being I’ll setup a Static page to indicate the status of the project..

DHSpicy Blog Goes Down (temporarily)

Shortly after working on a large board to night, there was a mishap which leaves me no other choice but to close DHSpicy blog where it is presently hosted.   Let’s just say I’ve been lucky so far.  Over two years and nothing happened.

The truth is I have too many other projects to associate this project with it.  The subject matter remotely different, family or business oriented.  Also, many other services are done and will continue to be done from the old domain.
