Sean McCall
Regular peeps that stop by here, know that I like to do a quick exposé every once in a while on Tasty, Sexy Art, and Photography. After I was granted permission to go ahead, I discovered that
photographer and cinematographer, Sean McCall, has an impressive trail to follow. Far beyond the few shots I had in mind.
It was a pleasure researching him, and finding out there was so much more than I expected. Since this post is about Sean McCall’s photography, let’s take a look at that side of him. He is working in the fields of fashion, advertising, commercial, beauty, glamour and products including publication such as in Allure, Bazaar, Details, Glamour, GQ, Madamoiselle, Redbook, Sunset and Vogue. Impressive credits.
Even more impressive are his subjects… Ali McGraw, Angelina Jolie, Bo Derek, Caprice Bourret, Chris Farley, Dita Von Teese, James Coburn, Mohammed Ali, Pia Zadora, Steve Guttenberg and Tommy Chong. That maybe a 20 year line up, recently Sean McCall is working for Designers like Moschino, Gautier and Dior. Some of the above mentioned names may be viewed on his website .
I didn’t research the cinematography side of Sean McCall as extensively, but I did find one piece I thought everyone here would enjoy, entitled Blooming Dahlia. From 2004, this is an 8 minute film featuring Dita von Teese. In 2005, he was also involved with A/k/a Tommy Chong.
More recently, and back to photography, say April 2008, the tabloids splattered photos of a young Angelina Jolie. The photos were taken by Sean McCall, about 1 year before she began to be noticed.
I found other references to work in print, you can find out about it at Pocketvenus.com.
Thank you Sean, for allowing me to do this post.
Since I asked permission for this article to display one specific photo, I will send you to the photos that first got my attention. I’m sure you’ll appreciate them too . For more Sean McCall photos, follow these links…
