Jon Hul

Just freshened up the gallery with a few pin ups from Jon Hul.  The one below is my favourite.  I first caught a glimpse of it last year on Sexualité.  I feel some new banners coming on!

p-Jon_Hul_41.jpgBio from WikiPedia…

He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and later grew up in California and Nevada. He attended Orr Junior High School in Las Vegas, NV in 1971. In 1974, he attended Valley High School where he studied ceramics, oil painting, watercolors, and commercial design.

After graduating from Valley High School in 1976, he taught himself how to play drums and played gigs off and on for a few years in a funk band called Soul Connection.

He decided to become a full-time artist in 1987 and to focus on fatherhood.

He is not a college graduate, and is mainly self-taught. He has noted as early influences the artists Salvador Dalí, Frank Frazetta, Alberto Vargas, M. C. Escher, Pablo Picasso, and later Patrick Nagel, Olivia De Berardinis and Hajime Sorayama.

Frequent subjects for his erotic art include Shae Marks, Suzi Simpson, Victoria Zdrok, Julie Strain, Anna Nicole Smith, and Pamela Anderson. He uses the media of watercolor, acrylic paint, oils, and pencil.

Giovanna Casotto and Happy Easter by the way.

Some news….

High speed rocks!   As in very High speed.   I’ll be spending my early mornings this weekend trying to do a little network configuring.  For anyone that has a house full of users on wireless, if you have Ultra High Speed available, make the move.  It’s certainly worth it.  We have on the average 4 to 6 users, and when they’re all boys/males, that bandwidth gets a little too thin for comfort.   The ladies’ habits are a little easier to deal with.

Guys tend  to  d/l a lot more, stream movies, I even had a couple of guys hooking in with their voip.  That’s when you call in the bigger guns!  16 megabits per second ought to do it!

 Giovanna Casotto

tc-casotto_01.jpgUnless your Italian is very good, it’s rather difficult to get info about Giovanna Casotto.  I surfed many websites and found information I didn’t expect.  For example, most of the illustrations drawn, are self portraits.  Explicit too!  I found a few nude photos of Giovanna Casotto, right next to the illustrations.  I was impressed!

A pretty woman to begin, it’s not surprising the illustrations are beautiful.  She started drawing erotic comics in 1994, after meeting up and working with Franco Saudelli.  He would take the photos and she would re-do them her way, in a realistic style.

It was fun observing the details wherever feet and footwear were part of the illustration, the attention brought to is remarkable.

tc-casotto_02.jpgOf course, I’ve added a few photos to the gallery.  Check them out.

As some of you may have noticed, less posting these days, as I’m busy with a few side projects.  Let alone WORK!

As a result, I will probably enhance this section  a little more.  I find it easier to pick up at any time as opposed to blog surfing and reporting.   I still visit many blogs, as well as my favourites on a regular basis, I just don’t presently have the resources to write them up.

Speaking of resources, has anyone tripped on this little gem?  Graffitigen.com.  It allows you to type your text and select a Graffiti typefont and generate it.  Kind of cool.

Julius Zimmerman - Pinup Artist

allstars_1.jpgThe best Julius Zimmerman biography is found at Davesart, but it’s difficult to pinpoint an age. Judging from the dates, I would say Julius Zimmerman is a child of the 60’s or perhaps late 50’s, putting him in his mid to late 40’s.

I have come across some of his images, many times and I’m sure you have too. The sexy images of Lara Croft, of recent, for example(Tomb Raider). There was also a generation of Who Framed Roger Rabbit’s Jessica. I have seen CatWoman, Superman, Snow White, Tinkerbell. On another site, I found some animated movies too.

His work can get very explicit. Many websites post a warning or an age check because of the nature of the pinups: Extremely explicit.   Julius Zimmerman published one book entitled Blind Squirrel, which appears to be currently out of print. Another was scheduled to be released, but it never happened.

Most of his revenue appears to come from auctions or Naughtybids . He doesn’t do commissioned work anymore, and from what I can see, he never did much. I usually like to list where some of the featured artist’s work has appeared, but I couldn’t very well do that as I found no references.

Today I’m adding some of Julius Zimmerman’s work to the gallery, if you want to have a peek. You can find a wider array of his work on the internet. I’ve listed some of the authorized sites below. As for my purpose, I’m not posting some of the very explicit ones, but that’s my choice(Yeah I know, I’m such a prude). Just follow the links, I’m sure you’ll find them. Instead, I tried to get a good cross section of the characters he’s worked with.

Artsy Stuff

I usually credit the artwork that I use in the top banners.  Since I didn’t get a chance to do so for the valentine’s banners, I’ll feature all three artists today.

 Michal Dutkiewicz

He was born in Adelaide, Australia in 1955,  son of a painter.   Dutkiewicz worked as an illustrator and  he drew for several series, including ‘Superman’ and ‘Batman’. He also published his work in Australian magazines like Reverie Comic Magazine and Eureka, for which he did ‘Verity Aloeha’. In 1991, Dutkiewicz won the Stanley Award for the Best Adventure Strip Artist.

Typing his name in any search engine, will return much of his activities and artwork.  See for yourself:

MICHAL DUTKIEWICZ

As for my Valentine banners, I used the the following 2 images from him:

There is a book I see on the net entitled, GIRL CRAZY: The Art of Michal Dutkiewicz TPB.  Please find a few more web published work  from  Michal Dutkiewicz in the gallery.

My search for Valentine’s theme banners was very narrow, but I liked my results.  I made a second banner which was made up from two different artist.

 V2.jpg

Nirasawa Yasushi (above to the left)

Japanese born and working out of Tokyo, Nirasawa Yasushi, is one of the most prominent Manga artist.  He has been behind the work of productions such as Hellboy and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and his animation character designs have appeared in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and Devilman: Amon.

Shinichi  Noda (above to the right)

Another Japanese illustrator, this time influenced by Sorayama, Royo and Cleavenger.  I really liked his work, I will most likely feature permanent banners from Shinichi Noda.

You can visit the gallery here, to sample a few illustrations from all three of these artist, amongst others.

Robert Coulter - Bad Girls Hotel

badgirlshotel.jpgEvery once in a while I discover an artist or a photographer that I share with you.  My latest is Robert Coulter, who stands behind many erotic achievements in the field of photography.  Perhaps one project which may be better know is Bad Girls HotelThe previous link will take you to Amazon.com where you can also browse some of his other published works.

So, I got curious and started examining and digging up what I could find about where the shots were taken and the subjects (models) used in the photography.  A New Yorker himself, Bob Coulter chose “Ye Olde Carlton Arms Hotel” located on east 25th Street in New York.  As I browsed the pictures, I felt like I had just received an invitation from Jerry Garcia of the Greatful Dead.  The rooms are kept in a “on the magic bus” ambiance.

About the models, well they really are models!  It was a little more difficult to get info about the ladies.  But I got enough info to attest, that despite the theme, these were models and perhaps not bad girls as we would be lead to believe.  This just goes to show how far a photographer with a great imagination can go.

Fortunately, much of his work is available on the Internet.  You may see the gallery in the sidebar for what I’ve gathered for you.   You will also find an extensive collection of photos work on Bob Coulter’s My Space.

Tasty, Sexy Art - New Gallery - Dominique Wetz

Dwetz.jpgI’ve added some pinups in the Gallery, which you can find on the sidebar.  Not much could be found on Dominique Wetz.  I usually post a URL on the banners I create, but no pertinent websites were found.  For your reference, should you wish to explore this artist further, I found the following links.

Dominique Wetz   Another gallery.

Amazon.com features a book available by Dominique Wetz, as seen on your right.

There’s a short french bio, by Christophe Rouillard, last update in 1999!  From here I learned that Dominique Wetz also does Magazine covers.  You may find it half way down the  page.
